Believe it or not, when I was a little girl I didn’t dream about my future wedding… I didn’t have my cake picked out or wedding invitations designed before Costa proposed. I actually remember ordering my ballroom chairs 3 days before walking down the aisle!

Instead I was dreaming about being on stage on a microphone…

I woke up smiling today after yesterday’s pink carpet social media coverage at the Richmond Wedding Show! I had the pleasure of conducting interviews with wedding vendors, newly engaged couples, and even the show producer. All of these interviews and behind the scenes sneak peeks went live on @rvaweddings during our all day takeover! PS: Did you notice my pink microphone?!

I know, some of you might be feeling anxious at the thought of being on a microphone in front of thousands of viewers. Similar to public speaking, the thought of talking through a microphone is a fear for the majority of the world’s population.

I remember the very first time I discovered my voice on a microphone back when I was just a little girl!  Safe to say there really was no turning back after that!  It really is one of my favorite parts about my job (it’s hard to pick just one, but this is definitely up there).  Here at POSH PR®, hosting a social media event activation like this is just one of our specialties.  In PR terms, this means producing an intentional event for a business that drives traffic to their social media accounts whether it is for a contest, giveaway or just for overall engagement.  By letting #theprdolls take the reins for social media, it allows a company to focus their attention elsewhere to make sure their event runs smoothly from start to finish! And an event like yesterday’s show is more than just an event… It was a production with lots of moving parts!

Although we do not plan luxury weddings anymore, I love being able to connect with so many business owners, all with likeminded aspirations — to serve their clients all with love with a team that they love!  There’s nothing more pure and motivating than that!
