Long Hair, Do Care
Maintaining long hair can sometimes feel like a full-time job! There’s so much hair to wash then you add in how long it takes to style and WHEW it can take up quite some time. But before I go any further, I HAVE TO say I wouldn’t have it ANY other way! My long blonde hair has always been somewhat of a security blanket for me. Ahh! So scary to say that and be vulnerable, but Dolls, it’s the truth! My hair has always been a way people identified me and it even developed into a symbol of my brand. With that being said, my hair is something that I love and always want to present the best way I can. That’s what made my diagnosis of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, or autoimmune hyporthyroidism, so difficult. My doctor told me that anything I ate moving forward would cause me to gain weight and that my hair and nails would also weaken over time. I felt like this autoimmune disease was attacking my hair and stealing my brand away. So I turned to the hair experts to help me out!
For over 10 years now, I have had hair extensions. From Italian hair and Russian hair to clip-ins and hand-tied wefts, I have tried them ALL! After all these years of research, I have to be honest — I’ve become a bit of a hair snob! What can I say?! My hair is a part of my brand so I want it to be the best! I’m not just saying this because Terra Harvell is one of our clients, but this truly is the hair that changed the game for me. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve been mapping out a plan on how I can get back to Arkansas to have her maintenance my extensions. Yepp! You read that right! I’m going to fly all the way to Arkansas to make sure I get to keep this hair! Little note I’d like to add here…there are no direct flights from Richmond, VA to Arkansas so it looks like I’ll be taking multiple plane rides!
Their concealed bead method is the secret to why I am so in love. For years I have always had individual hair locks, but I hated that you could see them. It got to the point where I had to photoshop the beads out of my Instagram pictures. It has been a TOTAL game-changer now that I don’t have to worry about that! I also love that I have the freedom to wear my hair however I want to. I can wear it half-up, all up, and it doesn’t make any difference because the beads will stay hidden.
