California Closets + #TheDollDreamHouse = A Match Made In Heaven
When Costa and I were designing our home, it was very important to us that every space was used intentionally. Our partnership with California Closets Virginia was one of the best decisions we made during this home building experience. Maja Ruza-Wilkerson, Design and Sales Manager at California Closets Virginia, went above and beyond to make sure our space was gorgeous AND functional! In truth, I absolutely LOVE making things beautiful, but I haven’t always been the best at making them as functional as they are pretty. This is where California Closets came in to save the day!
Organization is KEY! For those of you who don’t know, I am NOT a fan of things left out or clutter so I knew I needed an amazing system for organizing #dollthethings. From hidden storage to beautiful hardware finishes, California Closets took our requests and made them real! They paid attention to every single room and the needs that we had to create a seamless and editorial feel that carries through the whole house.
From the Champagne Closet in our bedroom to the hidden ironing board in the Laundry Room, no detail was left out! Yes Dolls — you read that right! We have a Champagne Closet in our bedroom!! Costa and I couldn’t resist the idea of having chilled Champagne right near us in our bedroom and California Closets made it happen. EEK! Champagne Is Always The Answer®, especially in bed after a long day! The Laundry Room is another space that I am in awe over. This room could have easily been overlooked and forgotten, but I love that California Closets designed this space to be so functional and the PERFECT space for our 3 babies — Lola Peach, Penelope, and Louis Vuitton. The drawers and cabinets were designed to hold everything we need to do laundry and store all of our puppy parent necessities!
In my opinion, the most amazing display of gorgeous craftsmanship happens in Costa and I’s Master Closets. I love that each of our closets reflects our personal style as well as fits our needs. The black and white high-contrast color scheme in Costa’s closet came out so beautifully. He loves that the black cabinets and island highlights the beauty of the stone and I love that it makes him so happy! When it came to my closet, I needed the mix between beauty and function to be flawless and OH MY GOSH DOLLS did California Closets get it!! From the display case that holds my designer collection to the drawer organizers that keep all my things neat, this truly is the closet of my dreams!
Costa and I are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to work with California Closets. They took all of our requests and turned them into reality bringing our Modern meets Mediterranean house dreams to life. I wake up every morning and have to pinch myself still. This is truly a dream come true. It means so much to me to be able to share it with you today, my sweet Dolls!
