When in Nashville...
I went down to #MusicCity to support one of my Doll Date clients, Raela of RSVP Event Design, as she hosted the first ever Nashville Bridal Fashion Week! I was soooo proud of her! And getting to see all the gorgeous dresses and florals was an added bonus!
Of course, Nashville is such a fun city filled with southern charm and Instagrammable locations, so I made a weekend of it to hit some of the hottest spots! These are a few of the must-visits!
STAY
I stayed at the gorgeous Noelle, a historic and trendy hotel built in 1929. The location is central to all of the city’s hustle and bustle, but with the beautiful interiors, I almost didn’t want to leave the lobby! PS: stay tuned for a Posh Place!!
EAT
The Five Daughters Bakery is the most precious family-oriented bakery with the sweetest treats! They are famous for their “Hundred Layer Donut,” which is like a croissant + donut mashup that takes up to three days to create! Talk about a delicacy!! I was even able to eat them because, praise! They have a gluten-free paleo version!
For even more deliciousness, stop by Proper Bagel for chic and urban black and white vibes. They are named for their bagels and they have a birthday cake cream cheese which I am obviously obsessed with.
Cafe Roze was honestly too crowded to even take a picture inside, and as soon as I saw the blush pink bar I knew why!! My heart was basically singing…especially when we got our fries!!
SHOP
Amelia’s Flower Truck is probably the only truck I could ever fall in love with. These vintage Volkswagens are stocked (or should I say “stalk”ed…) with pretty flowers and greenery so that you can make a custom bouquet.
For all the #selfcare, you definitely have to stop by Lemon Laine. I seriously felt so empowered when I walked into this natural beauty and wellness shop. We are talking Beyonce quotes on the wall and an oil bar where they will literally create an oil blend that is customized to your face and skin needs!
Uncommon James is a pretty and minimalist jewelry shop owned by none other than Kristin Cavallari, from The Hills! She has the most delicate pieces, several of which I of course took home with me! I’m obsessed with my little crystal choker and her store was giving me all the inspiration for #TheDollDreamhouse.
And speaking of celebrity-owned shops…Reese Witherspoon is the ultimate blonde southern icon! So of course I had to stop by her adorable store, Draper James. The Kentucky girl in me was liiiiving for all the sweet tea references and “hey y’all!”s around the shop!
Draper James is also home to this adorable blue-and-white wall, aka the perfect Insta spot…and what do you know, right across the street was another mural reading I Believe in Nashville. How cute, right?!
Nashville is filled with picturesque street art, from murals that are so popular they have a line (lookin’ at you, What Lifts You mural!) to hidden gems like this pink wall!
This trip was a whirlwind, but such a ball! Thanks for having me, Tennessee!
