Faux Fur Friday
Happy Faux Fur Friday, Dolls! Who knew that December 6 was such a special holiday?! My first reaction after learning about this holiday was, "EEK! A holiday just for me!" It's no secret that I have always had a passion for fashion and this has always included a love of faux fur. Plushy pink fur, leopard print bombers, black and white stripes…I love it ALL!
Faux fur has always been a staple in my wardrobe. It immediately makes me feel glam and put together. If it were up to me, I'd wear faux fur year round! Dolls, I love it so much that even during the warmer seasons I've been known to turn the air down low so I have an excuse to wear all my favorite faux fur pieces. What can I say…? I like what I like!!!
I'm a big proponent of owning your own personal style. Whether it be a bold lip color or a sparkly pair of stilettos, I want you to wear what makes you happy! One of my favorite quotes of all times is by Oscar Wilde.
He said, “You can never be overdressed or overeducated.”
I have lived my life by this quote and think that dressing to impress is always a good thing, no matter the occasion! Taking bold fashion risks and standing out in the crowd is something I have learned makes me feel confident. When I am all dolled up I feel like my best self and I'm ready to tackle whatever lies ahead of me. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good comfy pair of jeans and a sweater this time of year, but I'll jump at any reason to get glam! I also love adding a luxury piece (like that faux fur we're honoring today!) in with a more casual outfit. It's so fun to mix and match! Whether it’s a date night with my sweet hubby or a meeting with a client, faux fur instantly makes me feel like myself. I'll always encourage someone to own their personal style because it's something I think makes us each unique.

I am so happy that it is officially chilly season because it has given me so many reasons to pull out some of my favorite pieces from my faux fur collection. My sense of style may shift from time to time, but nothing can ever stop my love for faux fur! Dolls, it wouldn't be Faux Fur Friday if I didn't share a few ways to style your pieces, now would it?

1. When you want to feel like Barbie, but seriously it's cold outside! We all know that nothing makes me happier than feeling chic in pink!
2. Faux fur doesn't just have to be on a jacket. Here's my favorite go-to beanie with jeans and a white tee for an effortlessly glam look that can take you all over town!
3. Take your fur with you wherever you go! I love to wear mine draped over my shoulders with a basic white bodysuit. Sightseeing on the top of the Empire State Building in NYC just calls for faux fur, don't you think Dolls?!
4. There is no better time for faux fur then when walking your own fur baby poodle! I love the subtle touch on this blazer. Mixing the ripped jeans with the polished blazer always makes for a fun pair!
5. All black with a pop! I love an all black ensemble because it's so easy to accessorize and mix glam pieces with. This look with black leggings and a bodysuit is one of my favorites to add faux fur to as an accent!
6. Take a long sleeved dress and add a dash of sass with a vest! It's so fun to take a classic look and give it a modern twist. A vest is the perfect way to add a little extra to your outfit!
