Champagne, is (always) calling my name!
One of the PR Dolls was asking me the other day — when did my love of Champagne begin? To be honest, The Mama Doll (my sweet beautiful mother) loved Champagne first! So, I often joke and say I inherited this “gene” from her! I may not remember the exact moment I fell in love with the French sparkling wine but I do know why I love it so much. For me, when I hear the pop of a Champagne cork, I know something amazing has just happened. That noise represents a celebration. When I first opened POSH PR®, I was confident that my slogan would be “Champagne Is Always The Answer®.” As a luxury branding agency, we are constantly celebrating our clients’ success as well as our own success!
A common question I am often asked is “What’s your favorite Champagne to drink?” Now Dolls, I am very particular about my bubbly but my forever favorite is the one and only, Vueve Clicquot. Not only do I love the exquisite taste and luxurious prestige that the bottle holds, but the story that lives behind the yellow label made me admire the Champagne even more.
To fill you in on the empowering woman behind the brand — her name is Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin. After being widowed and inheriting her husband’s wine business, she saw an opportunity to expand into the Champagne business. Today, she is remembered as one of the very first great businesswomen and one of the richest women of her time— and better yet, she is known to be the “Grande Dame of Champagne.” If you want to know more on this amazing woman’s story, I recommend reading one of my favorite books — The Widow Clicquot.
I mean, can you see why I love this Champagne so much?! Not only is the brand considered exclusive, but it was founded by a powerful business woman — it’s the perfect combination! If I could travel back to 18th Century France, I think Miss Clicquot and I would totally be Business BFF’s®!
Since we’re on the topic of Champagne, I have a “fun fact” to share with you Dolls — did you know that New Years Eve is also considered National Champagne Day? Like, was this holiday made for me?! Probably not, but I celebrate like it’s my own, anyways! With that being said, this year, I decided to throw my own photoshoot to honor this very important and special holiday! All I have to say, this is one of my absolute favorite photoshoots I’ve done so far! I truly felt like a modern day Miss Clicquot! I mean the photoshoot was full of Champagne, sequins, and…. Did I mention Champagne? What’s not to love?!

Dolls, I loved this photoshoot so much because it was truly “me.” This year, I plan to only do things that I am jumping up and down for with excitement, whether that’s a photoshoot, a blog topic, or an event. I encourage you Dolls to do the same. Life is too short to waste time on things that don’t bring us joy! So, if you’re obsession isn’t Champagne but maybe it’s Rosé well then, have a photoshoot with Rosé! Haha okay, I think you get my point!
P.S. Yes, my headband at the photoshoot was totally Champagne bubbles!
