Well, dolls, I’m here to tell you that your state of mind and how you look at the world makes a HUGE difference! Not only does mind over matter play a role in how successful you can and will become, but it can improve your relationships, open doors, and help you to get more enjoyment out of life. Intrigued? Being positive is more than just looking at that glass of Champagne and wondering if it’s half-full or half-empty. It’s a driving force in your life. Trust me, not everyday is as perfect as a curated Instagram feed may seem!

Here are a few ways that science has shown will make you a more positive person:

  • Practice gratitude. There is something great in every day. Make a point to start having gratitude for all the good things in your day, whether it’s a front row parking space or finding a new pink lipstick. It’s the little things in life, right?!

  • Smile more. Science shows that you can trick your brain (you heard that right!) into happiness by making yourself smile. Smile, sip, smile some more!

  • Choose happiness.Decide to be happy, and then keep making that decision. Something getting you upset? Turn it around and head back toward happiness. It is a choice!

  • Help others. Doing things for others makes us more positive. Whether you pay it forward in the Starbucks line or volunteer a couple of hours at a soup kitchen, do something that will help others. Trust me, this one really works!

Dolls, making the decision to be positive can be life-changing. Positivity spreads, so when you adopt this type of attitude be ready for others around you to become more pleasant, too. Now that’s something to toast!
