Dream Big in 2019
Recently, one of my clients said the sweetest thing: “I didn’t expect all your clients to be so different, but they have one thing in common: they all have the same heart!”
I think that’s true! All of my clients have hearts to bring beauty in the world, through kindness, hard work, and curated Instagrams!
But here’s something I notice about so many of my clients, especially brand new ones: they are fearful! They have dreams, but they don’t believe that they deserve to achieve them. They don’t believe that they even have the ability to achieve them. I get it! I have been there.
So many dolls do not even allow themselves to fantasize about their dream life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to be content with where you are in life! But it’s also ok to dream big.
When I have a party to go to, I picture myself in all of my different outfits, imagining what it would feel like and how it would look to wear each dress to the party. I tell my dolls to do the same thing: try on different dream lives. What makes you excited to achieve your goals? (the actual goal setting can come later—focus on the dream right now!) Do you imagine having a closet for just shoes? Traveling to a new country every weekend? Sharing your heart with huge audiences?
Now you know what you’re working toward. The hard part? Believing that you deserve it.
Hear this, doll: you deserve your dream life! You ARE able to achieve it. You ARE able to enjoy it. You are capable!
Have you heard the saying, “if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough?” It’s ok to be scared! Dreams SHOULD be big. So what’s next?
Make those dreams into tangible goals! The most important thing is to write it down. Hold yourself accountable. Tell your best friends what you’re doing so they can hold you accountable, too. When you write down your goals, you can visualize how you’re going to achieve them. For some weird reason, writing things down makes them real. Make a timeline! Break it down into small steps! Plan it out, and then start working for it—one step at a time.
Walk in to 2019 with your head held high. You’ve got a dream. You’ve got goals. You’ve got this!
Xo,
