WEDDINGPLANNINGTIPS:  THELITTLEDETAILS

I am so excited that my article "The Little Details" was published in Richmond Weddings Magazine!  Eeek!  In the article I shared my top 5 favorite wedding details.  We are often told that it’s the little things in life that matter the most: the sweetness of friendship, the sound of laughter, the smell of fresh flowers.  All of these little details lead to happiness in life.

This is also true when it comes to planning your wedding.  The little details truly do count!  A wedding that is adorned with tiny personal touches can really make your guests feel special.

Welcome Bags

In a perfect world, you and your sweetheart would be able to welcome all of your guests upon their arrival.  However, this is most likely not the scenario.  A wedding welcome bag, filled with goodies, of course. is the perfect way to say hello and let your guests know you are glad they are here.  Typically, these are distributed as your guests check in to their hotel.  On a budget?  No worries, a hand written card will suffice!

Personalized Cocktail Napkins

This is my absolute favorite wedding detail of them all!  The best time to debut your personalized cocktail napkins is during cocktail hour.  They can be designed with your custom wedding colors and printed with your wedding date or monogram.  Or, why not add a fun fact about you and your sweetheart?  This is a great way to share your love with your guests in an interactive way.

Favors

At the conclusion of the evening, when your guests bid you and your sweetheart farewell, why not surprise them one last time?  A wedding favor is the perfect way to say thank you to your guests and add a final personal detail to your wedding.  How about sending them off with after dinner mints and a bottled water?  Or, what about a sweet treat buffet with candy, macaroons, and donuts?  Or, my favorite, a mini bottle of sparkling!  Your guests will be very appreciative that you remembered them all the way till the end.

It’s the little details that are crucial.  All of these little details make big things happen.

xoxo
